                                       Glenn Cunningham


   He was born in Atlanta, Kansas, but grew up in Elkhart, Kansas. He is a track and field athlete. He was a normal kid but then his legs were badly burned in an explosion used when someone put gasoline instead of kerosene in the can at his schoolhouse by accident when he was eight and his brother Floyd was 13. He brother ended up dying in the fire. They recommended him to ampute his leg, but his parents couldn’t allow it. He thought he would never walk again. In the summer of 1919 he tried to walk again, two years after his accident. After that he started training and liked the running
